Moonlight Stroll; Sam/Bucky

Clearly things had been getting a bit heated in the Avengers conference room. Even though Sam hadn't actually been in the room, he could tell because Bucky had started sending texts in all caps in rapid succession.
Bucky: IT'S GOING GREAT IN HERE
Bucky: MY GOD CAN WALKER SHUT UP
Bucky: PLEASE CALL WITH A FAKE EMERGENCY
The new Avengers are a complex and stubborn group of individuals, that much is for sure. Sam's happy to be on the outside of this particular squabble.
But he was supposed to come see Bucky that night anyway. So texts back.
Sam: Just come outside. Let's take a walk.
"Just a suggestion," Sam starts as soon as he sees Bucky push open the glass doors. "Maybe texting during the meeting wasn't helping."
Bucky sticks his tongue out at him.
"Don't you start with me too," Bucky huffs. He sounds on-edge, and there are dark circles under his eyes.
Sam quickly changes tact. "You're right, I'm just here for stress relief tonight. C'mon."
Sam takes Bucky's hand and pulls him away from the tower. They walk fast through somewhat empty streets. The streetlights are fairly bright, but Sam can still see the moon high above them.
He squeezes Bucky's hand and then lets go. Bucky follows him with pursed lips, still looking grumpy as hell, but eventually they make it to Sam's real destination.
Central Park does not have as many streetlights. The moon shines down on them, bathing Bucky in a blueish glow.
"The moon looks beautiful night," Sam says.
"Is there where I say some cheesy line about how you're beautiful too?" Bucky quips. But he's smiling now, which is a plus.
Sam shrugs his shoulders. "Only if you want to."
"You already know," Bucky teases. "Besides, we don't need that ego of yours getting any bigger."
Sam bumps Bucky's shoulder with his.
"There's my guy," Sam says, triumphant.
Bucky sighs. "Sorry. It was a rough one in there."
"That's okay." Sam means it, too. He's had his fair share of days like that.
Bucky takes Sam's hand and they walk side by side for awhile, enjoying the moonlight.

AND THEY ARE HOLDING HANDS! I'm so weak for that. This was funny and soft and felt very them.
